Additional Information

The Munnings Art Museum presents chronological displays which chart the career of Sir Alfred Munnings: from his childhood at Mendham Mill in Suffolk, through his training at Norwich School of Art and as a commercial illustrator’s apprentice, to the equestrian painting for which he is best known.

Two further galleries are used to host special exhibitions which examine, in depth, aspects of his work.

The museum (Castle House) retains the original furniture and personal items belonging to Munnings and his wife Violet.
